Wortman installed new heat pump, backup electric heater, additional attic insulation, foam insulation on knee walls and sealed the ducts. Their work was done with attention to detail and customer satisfaction. The work was from Mon to Fri. The crews showed up when they said they would and cleaned up every day before leaving. I highly recommend Wortman.

After an extensive Internet search for a reliable and honest HVAC service provider, and after talking with multiple friends and neighbors, I opted to try Wortman Central Air about three years ago. Simply put, I have been VERY HAPPY with their service, their expertise, and fair prices. What other people I know and the Internet reviews said about Wortman Central Air is exactly what I have experienced. My discussions with the service technician (Amhad is my favorite technician, hands down) and the office staff are always matter-of-fact and straightforward, none of this verbally twisting my arm to sell me something I don't need. The staff and service technicians at Wortman -- certainly all of the ones I have dealt with -- take great pride in their local reputation of being honest and fair. Isn't that a refreshing attitude in this day? After ten years of being in a new home, the old builder-grade Carrier unit finally died today and although it can be repaired, I opted to replace the whole system with a new one recommended by Virgina at Wortman's office. (She is VERY knowledgeable.) It will be installed this weekend and if past experience is any indication, I have no concerns that the installation will be done correctly. I will try to remember to update this review after the installation. But mostly I hope that those of you who consider my comments find them useful. I can only share the experiences I've had but based on those experiences I would solidly recommend Wortman Air Conditioning if you need such service. They are good people performing expert services at a fair price. What more can anyone ask for?

Wortman Air is absolutely the BEST! I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate the top service I always am given by this company. They recently installed new duct work, a new AC and furnace, plus installation, for me. For both the duct work and AC/furnace install, they took their time so that they would do the highest quality job. The 2 men who did the duct work were here three full days making sure that my new duct work was installed properly so that it would last for many, many years. The 3 men who completed my AC/furnace installation, plus new insulation as well, were also very thorough and took several days meticulously doing this install as well. From the sales department, to the service technicians, to the owner, to receptionist, every person at Wortman Air is very professional, honest, helpful and friendly. AAA+ for service, honesty, integrity, quality and professionalism. I highly recommend Wortman Central Air. You can't go wrong with Wortman!

Virginia gave me estimates for a new hvac system and they beat all the other companies' estimates. She answered every question and was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Just got my first full bill and it was 166.38 for the month of July! The cheapest ever and it was run 75 during the day and 72 at night the whole month. Went from a 13 seer to an American Standard 16 seer system and it's already paying dividends. Also, they didn't push expensive systems like some of the other companies did. We wholly recommend Wortman.

Wortman came on a Friday early evening and it was determined a part was defective and needed to be replaced. Instead of leaving us in the cold till they could get another part on Monday they chose to open the bad part and see if they could fix the issue. For that I am appreciative. Mr. Sellman was here this morning to check my furnaces for the season. When he arrived he introduced himself and gave me two new filters. However, I had already replaced my filters the end of Oct. He checked both of my furnaces and checked the carbon dioxide. He was very efficient. Very nice employee and felt confident in him.

Both of my units went out which didnt make sense how, as it happened the same day. Zack and his helper josh came out to my house promptly and very quickly was able to figure what was wrong with both. Zack was teaching his helper and seemed to know exactly what was wrong with both units before even looking at them based off of what i had told him. He thouroughly went into detail on when, why, and how it was happening and showed him exactly how to check the problems. Thank you guys so much for getting my air back on and for all the schooling!

A fairly major project that included install of a mini-split, insulation and crawl space encapsulation. They estimated 5 days, finished in four. On time every day, brief breaks and clean job site at the end of each day. Everything worked first time and a noticeable difference in comfort. They installed the original unit that lasted over 20 years. The work was accomplished as scheduled and on time. Followup city inspection was accomplished last Friday. This heat caught us off guard when our AC suddenly stopped working. Nick came to our house after the regular workday hours to ensure we were taken care of. He got our AC up and running in no time! Our 41-year-old unit quit in mid-August. I asked 3 different companies come to the house and give me a quote. All were prompt and courteous. However, the lady from Wortman was more interested in helping us get the best system for us. I felt like the others were selling me, and she was asking questions and trying to pinpoint the best solution. Fortunately there was an opening the next day, and two knowledgeable young men had a new system up and running in the afternoon. Eakramul Islam was the service tech that responded to my late night Saturday call for assistance. He responded within minutes of my call to the Wortman service line via phone to let me know when he would come and was exactly on time. He was knowledgeable and rapidly solved the issue which was a faulty float switch. The most remarkable aspect of his visit was his can do attitude and cheerful demeanor. He is an excellent technician and a good guy.

My heat stopped working 3 weeks ago the service guy has been by 4 times has charged me $85 and my heat still don’t work. When you call only one guy ever answers. I called and he had forgot about me. I have a service agreement and have yet to receive any service. I was given a receipt and told to call the number if need. Help and the number is disconnected. The guys who put in the unit were great that’s it. Dont waste your time with this company

Terrible experience. Had an appointment for a simple A/C service. Was scheduled for 1 pm which I made a few weeks in advance. They never even showed up. They did call between 2 and 3 to say they were on the way and asked what Size air filter I needed. But then never called again to say they weren’t coming or even to give an excusE on why they didn’t show. I tried calling back 5 times to find out where they were and the calls would go to a voicemail that was full. So I couldn’t even leave a message to cancel. I took off this afternoon from work to have this service. How does this place have such a high rating? Never trying this place again. I recommend you don’t use them either.

UPDATE: Serviceman came to my house last night around 6:30 p.m. He apologized for missing the earlier appointment. Cleaned my outside unit with no problem. ORIGINAL: I replaced my entire air and heat system through Wortman in July 2019. I love the new unit and haven't had any problems with it, but in April 2020 when I called for standard maintenance the coronavirus had happened and I was unable to reach them until early June. At that time I was informed that Wortman is now bankrupt but employees are trying to honor the service contracts. I was very appreciative of this and despite the fact I had to wait a month for an appointment, I understood and was willing to wait. I called Wortman yesterday and confirmed the appointment, which was supposed to be at 8:30 a.m. today, but no one ever showed and or called to reschedule. I basically waited a month for nothing. I called them at 10:45 a.m. today to let the scheduler know that their employee didn't show, I'm on my way to work, and no one is at the house. He did apologize, but I can't help but feel duped for waiting a month to be stood up.

I purchased a new $7,000 AC unit and furnace from this company. Up until last month, they were always a pleasure to deal with as far as customer service. On 7/15/20, I called to see if I could schedule the yearly AC tuneup. One of the guys answered the phone, and it sounded like he was really busy, so I assume they had their business phone forwarded to his cell phone. Anyways, I explained to him what I needed, and he said it was a bad time because he was hooking up a trailer. He did not offer to call me back, or take my information and pass it on to get this scheduled. Anyways, I just told him never mind since I was obviously wasting his time, and I filed a BBB complaint. It was forwarded to Dana, the owner's wife, and 2 weeks later, she never responded. So much for customer service. Short of using the warranty when I need it, I will NEVER use this company again. I was not looking for a discount or free service call, but a little friendlier customer service just saying that we will take care of it for you. I guess customer service does not really exist anymore.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever received. First, the guy that came out charged us over $750 to service our 3 units and said our air filters were ok. He did not produce a receipt, he said he was emailing it to us which never happened. Within 2 days our upstairs unit reached 85 degrees and, come to find out, one of our downstairs units wasn’t working at all. The owner came out and admitted that the first guy had probably not even checked our filter and that he clearly did not really do anything. He also admitted that $750 seemed way out of wack. He got our upstairs unit working “ok”, but not great and then it took 2 weeks for him to come out and fix the downstairs unit. We still have not received our filters a month later and after calling several times he still has not produced a receipt for the initial payment. However, he did admit “seeing” it and it was only around $300 which I still have not been reimbursed for. I finally had enough and called the credit card company to stop payment completely. I have no clue how these people have anything but poor ratings. The are simply the worst and do not deserve to be in business.
